Principal Back to School Message

Dear Parents, Guardians, and Community Members,

Taos Day School would like to welcome you to the 24-25 school year. We have many exciting changes to share with all of you.

Taos Day School will be changing to a new structured curriculum in Math and English Language Arts. We will be increasing blended learning opportunities and ensuring subjects such as science and social studies are taught through a project-based approach.

We will be continuing wellness and prevention programs that will focus on social emotional learning at all grade levels. Taos Day school is proud to be able to outreach to both tribal and outlying agencies to increase our student's experiences as it relates to wellness activities. 21 CCLC After School programming will start in September.

Teachers report back to work on August 5th with 5 days of training that ranges from Emergency Preparedness Training to Orton Gillingham Training for Dyslexia.

Students will start on August 12th, with us all meeting at the Taos Pueblo Community Center at 8am to commence the new 24-25 school year.

Parents will not need a supply list like most other schools, as Taos Day School will supply the materials needed in each classroom that is needed for a successful school year.

Please make sure that Taos Day School has contact phone numbers for each family so that you may be notified of school events and changes throughout the school year.

If you have any specific needs that you may need addressed during the 24-25 school year, please feel free to reach out, and we will do our best to assist you.

We would like to give a SHOUT OUT to our new Kindergarten students as they embark on their new journey in education and exploration. We are glad that you are here with us.
