Students at Taos Day School recently showcased their photographic talents at an art exhibition held at the Couse Sharpe Gallery from January to March 30th. Under the guidance of their Photography Instructor, Mr. Jim Cox, students presented a stunning collection of photo works. The event attracted a large audience, including Tribal Government, Governor Fred Romero, Warchief Carpio Bernal, their staff, as well as proud parents and members of the community.

The success of this exhibition has inspired plans for future events, made possible by the generous support of the 21CCLC Grant. Coordinated by Marlee Espinoza, our 21st Century Community Learning Centers (21CCLC) Coordinator, the exhibition was expertly curated by Davison Koenig and Ann Rhinehart.

“For a tiny hinterland community that has never heard the whistle of a train, Taos’ impact has been exceeded by few metropolitan communities.”
– Frank Waters
